outside lands

I couldn't wait to post photos from this last weekend at the outside lands festival, my film won't be done for a few days, so until then these digital photos will do :

This was my first time going to outside lands, and I was definitely impressed . Concert goers were greeted with free bike valets, farmers markets, urban agriculture workshops, and even a stage powered entirely by solar energy (the panhandle stage). There was a natural woodsy sense to the atmosphere, with a food truck forest in the wooded areas between stages (one of my favorite areas throughout the whole festival). This was also where a huge tree house was built; all around it was decorated with different kinds of textiles in the trees, Chinese inspired dragons and umbrellas, giant parachutes strapped to trees and billowing in the wind, where revelers rested their feet . .there was even a larger than life wind-chime swing; it was a magical little place between all the crazy madness .

I LOVE all the creative use of color and texture
